Coming off a 7-4 record, people in the city were proud were proud of the group of young men who had given Revere a winning record. Despite suffering the tough loss in the second round of the MIAA playoffs last year to the Gloucester Fishermen, the Patriots had left it all in the past and had a positive outlook towards this season. After long months of grueling and intense work-outs in the weight-room, drills on the field and most importantly eating the right meals in the kitchen (PROTEIN), the team was looking faster and stronger than ever.

After another tough day in the weight-room, everyone’s attention turned to Coach Cicatelli when he had arrived. As everyone waited in suspense for Coach to announce his daily speech, he had walked towards the white board and wrote had written down their  schedule. To everyone’s surprise, their first confrontation would be towards the Gloucester Fisherman.

A tough game had been played, but at the end the Revere Patriots came out as the superior team, defeating the Fisherman 38-8. This was only had only been the beginning of a tremendous season.

The ferocious Patriots led by a strong Senior and Junior class had gone on to abolish their next 3 opponents, the Peabody Tanners, 24-0, the Lynn Classical Rams, 43-26, and the Saugus Sachems, 40-13.  Not only was the offense firing on all cylinders, but the defense had been playing phenomenal, and only allowing 8 points during the first two games of the season.

4-0! .4-0! .4-0! Revere was has been put in the spotlight, heading into their final stretch of the regular season. Each week, the team had been climbing up the rankings and looking more dominant than ever. Revere was not the only team who had gone undefeated at this point in the season. Now Revere had to encounter their toughest two week stretch of the season, as they had to face both teams back-to-back. Playing the Bulldogs on an early Saturday morning would prove how resilient the team would be.

Playing their toughest opponent so far, the game had been tied by the end of the fourth quarter forcing the game to go into overtime.

The Revere Patriots blasted onto the High School Football scene with a spectacular 9-0 season. After defeating the Wayland Warriors 42-35, the Patriots had their sights set on the number one 1 ranked team in the division, The Melrose Raiders. The mighty Raiders who are also undefeated look to hand the the Patriots their first loss of the season as both teams fight for an opportunity to play at Gillette Stadium in the Division 4 Super Bowl. While Revere walked into the game with their heads high, they still had to prove why they are the best team in Massachusetts.
